Thanks - SMRC

Just got back from "Marshals Fun Day" at Knockhill organised by the Scottish Motor Racing Club.

Marshals who have attended a minimum number of meetings at Knockhill were invited along for a day of:

- 4x4\off road driving
- auto testing
- skid pan driving
- MGF driving
- Legend driving

and passenger laps in various competiton cars: Prosport LM3000, Seirra Cosworth, Radicals, Renualt Alpine, BMW Mini and Rover Metro.

Thanks to Nick Clarke, the rest of the Scottish Motor Racing Club committee and the drivers who spent all day taking marshals out in their cars.

Kenneth.

SMRC Fun Day

Hi guys,

It was certainly a good day out at the funday.

My highlight was the skip pan - "insert comment regarding my normal driving technique here".

But more importantly it was a momentous occasion - I reversed a car....... I now have the confidence to reverse park - be very afraid.

The 4x4 was very useful, coming from the Borders I drive through fields all the time as we have no roads....

Did anyone get a shot in the wee purple thing?

Finally - HIYA HAGGIS. Had any red wine recently? HAHA LOL. You can shake my hand!

50 attendances sitting on your Arse while the top Flag man has to keep his eye on the Track for you. PS don;t like Red Wine must have been something in the water at croft.

Top Flag Man?

Kinda hard for the top flag man to watch the track when he's towing his caravan up the road cos he's too hung over.......

I stumbled across a photo of the so called "top flag man in action" click the link below to see him doing some work for a change - you may recognise his face from crimewatch, note the dark glasses to hide his red eyes from the observer as I am sure he was on the red wine the night before - he probably cannot remember that either!!!!

Hey Paul, woz trying to track you and Fraser down last week. I was going to treat you, Fraser and the haggis to a nice glass of red wine down in the Borders.

Nice "action" shot of the haggis, wonder if anyone has a picture of him clinging to a pole as well?

Hey, why was I not in that picture? Always the same, every time there's a camera man or fire I'm always on the wrong side of the track......

Are the kids driving you mad yet because Santa's coming?
