Canto/ gatorz- Denyer/ summit

Just shown on sunrise canto's new car, 'gatorz' BA. Silver with black stripes,
very, very smart looking car.
Now who is gatorz ???[edit] sunglass and apparell munufacturer !!
Denyers Summit leasing BA looks the goods however the yellow rear looked out of place.
They all look pretty chuffed and relaxed at DJR.

Yeah Canto's looks really good. Similar to the Westpoint livery just different colours. I get the feeling that DJR is going to have a good year.

You have got to hand it to Dick & DJR, they don't seem to strangle in pulling new sponsors!!

Nothing on the DJR wesite at the moment.
Just as a point, I'm surprised the gave Denyer #81, thought he might have got #71 due to his ch7 connection.

RedNine Racing has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Having Canto in the team is a strong bonus, driven plenty of v8`s and should go close to winning the konica series.Interesting Denyers car in Westpoint colours but differant sponsor...Looking good.

Would I be correct in assuming these cars are last years cars 17 & 18, with new cars built for Steven & Glenn?

You are 90% correct!! Yes these are the #17 & #18 cars from last year & yes Seto is getting a brand new #18 for this year.. However Jnr/Luff raced a brand new #17 at Sandwon & bathurst ONLY, which jnr will drive this year. This car has had a few twiks whilst not being raced in the last few rounds of last year.. I'd say to match the new chassis that Seto will get???

I CAN'T WAIT FOR RACING TO BEGIN FOR 2005!!!

Dean's the number 1 driver hence getting the back-the-front 17 ...

I thought there would have been a 7 in there somewhere, especially with the proliferation on NASCAR numbers this year, they could have used the '7' logo in there somewhere.

Why not use #77, bring back memories of Willo's Celica with the Channel 7 #77 (i'd suggest the old Bob Morris #7, but Perkins has that)

Dick Johnson was sponsered by Channel 7 at one stage in the past as well.....

An interesting point... Mr Denyer's release stated that he is sponsored by Microcat... which just happens to also be a BJR sponsor, fresh for 2005...

Anyone besides me think this is a trifle strange? Or an indication perhaps of where Mr Denyer's real Bathurst seat will come from (considering Mr Brabham is apparently at better than evens to share the 2nd DJR car come enduro time)

Canto & Denyer would be good in the enduros together because they wouldn't have to make any adjustments to the seat etc when they switch drivers they can just leave it all the way forward.
I'd hate to see them put either of them with Steve.

WRT Microcat. I think it is just a general marketing push. Traditionally their products have been the exclusive domain of dealerships etc, but their 'Market' product is being developed for use in workshops and smaller outlets etc, I do believe.
