Official: RuSport & Rocketsports Technical Collaboration
So apparently it's now officially confirmed that RuSport and Rocketsports will be working together this year. It sounds like the drivers are legitimately enthused about this. The teams will remain located at their respective shops.
http://www.champcarworldseries.com/N...e.asp?ID=11348 To me this seems like a good idea. In a series short of verterns, having two very good ones working together, who are both known for their technical prowess can't help but produce good results. Hopefully the setup limitation rules combined with a completely new car will result in multiple wins for both Wilson and Tag. Thoughts? |

I thinkn it is a good Idea, at first I was not too happy aboput it as they are part owners. But at least they are not using pay drivers and the drivers thay have should work quite well together. Maybe good results with this team up mya make both teams solid again to add another car, maybe even another car midseason (if not this season hopefully 2 more cars doe trhe start of next season) if they get good results and attention of another sponor I hope they do well

Im sure Rocketsport are over the moon about it.
In all honesty they have failed to deliver over the past few years , now with some technical input hopefully they can move forward. As for Rusport , they obviously have delivered over the last few years but Im sure now that they are a one car team (so it seems) having feedback from rocketsports and Tagliani is information they can use to their benefit as well. Good call from them if they want to move forward with the new chassis |

I'm not to sure if this deal will help rusport at all.but in the long run ,it will keep a other team getting descent results.

Wont it be a help for Rusport as it has access to another heap of data that will be helpful considering there is a new car out there.

It should help them out quite a bit rather then both of them being single one car teams. I know we all wanted them to have two cars each, but teaming up can only help them.
That has got me thinking, some of the smaller teams (like Coyne or Conquest), should team up just for the season, all that data for the first year car should help them out a lot to take on the big teams that only have 2 cars between them. I would love to see a Coyne Conquest super team giving Gerry & NHL some headaches Last edited by boom boom; 24 Mar 2007 at 15:26. |

^ Good idea. We've seen some startling things accomplished by some of the lesser teams such as DCR, Conquest and TA. I suspect that might be the best idea yet in terms of creating a series with more competition. Combine that with a couple of vetern drivers in those teams and IMO they would really thrive.

I guess it makes sense, but it's kind of odd the way they eased into a merger.
