I can definitely think of some relatively occasions in which a read flag would, IMHO, have been quite advisable. Probably the three most obvious cases I can think of would be Monza 2000 (lap 1 incident, marshall killed), Spain 2003 (two cars and debris on the grid following start), and of course, the most recent Grand Prix. Also, now that I think more about it, it might have been a good idea to have stopped the Monaco Grand Prix this year after Sato's engine blowup (debris from two other cars, possoble fluid deposites from expiring Honda engine).
By the way, has anything been done to aid drainage on that one section at Interlagos that caused so much trouble last year? |
