I'm going, although my main reason is the ETCC race. The GT cars are a happy side-effect.
It shoudl be a good day (/weekend) a lot of high quality races. |

*hand up along with the normal f3 crowd*
the timetable's changing constantly so i'd be wary of checking as many places as possible before relying on anything! |

FIA GT after a few poor years (99-02) is really coming on strong and you will enjoy it. Also don't forget the LMES 1000K race at Silverstone mid August. It will run from 4pm to 9-10pm Saturday night, with British GT and the new LMES Historic Prototype/GT's supporting. Both races should be great. Last edited by JAG; 21 Jun 2004 at 22:00. |

I shall be there for Sunday along with the wife and kids. The wife used to be a stalwart of Sportscars being a regular in the late 80's at Le Mans, Nurburgring and Spa. Looking forward to this race. I need a 'rush' of sportscars through the veins. Le Mans 2004 seems years ago now!

It was a good day today and there was some cracking racing. The only downside as I saw it was the long breaks between each race, but that's TV for you. I reckon that there was somewhere in the region of 25,000 people there today.

25,000? Just goes to show what a big venue Donington is. Wouldn't like to be in the queue to get out in four weeks time though - there'll be knocking on 120,000 there for the MotoGP!

Yeah, not much in the way of delayed traffic - maybe 15 mins each way. Was there anyone actually left watching when the F3s finally came out?!
By the way, Hi to those I saw, and apologies to those I missed! Seems like there were lots of tententhers there! P.S. My arms and face are an incredibly unhealthy looking bright pink, and my ears are still ringing... ah, the joys of live motorsport! |

I watched on TV and would be suprised if there were more than 5,000 people present.Whole stretches of once popular grass banking were empty! Comentator said sponsors had given their customers 20,000 free tickets.Either they were all in the hospitality tent or did not bother to use them.

Bloody good to finally get to meet you Garc. Good stuff!
I think this is the first meeting I've ever been to though where the Formula Renault were the most entertaining class of the day...!!! |

Great racing, loved the GTs and what a finish. The spectator numbers looked pretty good - the knfield was pretty full.
So how come no-one said hello? I had my 10ths badge proudly dispayed on my overalls. |

I never got beyond the infield! Kept looking out for 10ths badges but didn't see any! Nice to have been, er, so near you Woolley!
Rob29, not sure which bits of banking the tv cameras were showing... The infield above the Old Hairpin was fairly busy, but it was fairly sparse either side of the bridge opposite. Lots of people around the paddock and pit straight grandstands, and scattered around the circuit - I guess it shows how well Donington swallows 20odd thousand people... |

Pile of badges arrive, fiver each. SS_Collins sneezed and missed out they went that fast! |
