The Good that is KIMI
Well I think we have talked the hell out of TCF so let's look at the unsaid good that came out of Canada .
And that is KIMI this kid has done nothing but impress since his start in F1 as we all know was this year I have nothing but good thing to say about KR in my eyes if he doesn't finish another race this year he would still be the ROOKIE OF THE YEAR . I would what to put the mokers on him Don't get me wrong I think Alonso has also done a fantasic job I just though KR has had a outstanding job so far |

Yes he has done a stirling job thus far, particularly as he was panned so much from both inside and outside F1, so many people were convinced he'd turn up, finish last for a few races and hae his super licence taken away. I say good on you Kimi.

I've always had favourable comments of Kimi thus far. He had really done an excellent job and exceeded most expectations...GO KIMI!
If he really improves further and keep up his act, i would like to see him in a Ferrari from 2003, to nurture him until 2004 and replace Michael when he retires!~ |

Well you have to think about the car they are driving as well.
Personaly I think that if Alonso was driving the sauber he would have done even better..... |

The guy has shown matureness which Montoya inspite of his 2-times Cart championship is not able to demonstrate.
It is not the guarantee of being the future WDC, such a "wonderkinds" often look better that their rooky-mates but become average drivers after the first 1-2 years. Nevertheless he has the skills and brains to be next Mika Hakkinnen. |

well, as kimi is a wonder-child, wot he really needs to do know is not get into the wrong crowd of manufacturers i.e jaguar, minardi, prost and arrows as they will ruin him.

Kimi's someone who just has the natural talent for driving like Villeneuve or Shumacher.
For a kid who's never even driven a F1 car before this year to have more points than Montoya, Panis, Frentzen and Irvine is very good. |

With luck Kimi will go to Williams for 2004, when his contract has run out with Sauber.
The guy is a star, along with Alonso, who are on equal terms as far as I'm concerned for Rookie of the Year. And I'm pleased to say I waved my Kimi flag on every lap possible at Silverstone today AGAIN. YAYAYAY!!! |

Kimi has been on the pace of Heidfeld, or ahead of it, right from the get go. Considering his lack of open wheel experience, it is obvious this kid is a natural. You can be sure that Ferrari wants him, as Rubens is only signed for a year. I'm sure that the big teams won't want to wait for his contract to run out with Sauber.

But going to Ferrari would be the end of his career as he'd play second fiddle to Schumacher.

RussianFriend - JPM only won the CART championship once and the Indy 500.
Kimi is definitely a fantastic driver. I reckon rookie of the year AT THE MOMENT is lineball between Kimi and ABBA (Fernando). Could this be the start of a long, competitive and enjoyable rivalry in the Senna - Prost mould? |

i think would like to see Kimmi serve another year at Sauber after this to gain some experiance then spen a year at ferrari as no2 to schumacher to learn ropes of big team and well learn from the fastest man in f1 then beat schummi in year two on several occasions which is 2004 ok and this is when schummi will end his f1 career possibly
therefore train up the Kimi - ooohh what engine is in that sauber- mm funny that |

Minardi fan The end of his career!!..Going to Ferrari under the guidance of Michael Schumacher will be the beginning of his career. When Michael retires as a driver, but stays on with Ferrari to help with turning less experienced drivers into WC...

ANY TEAM BUT BLOODY FERRARI!!! To be honest I think the most likely thing to occur is Nick and Kimi to switch from Sauber to McLaren at the same time.

The only thing that we need is Felipe Massa contracted with Prost to run one of his cars next year to beat Kimi...

I suspect at least one more year at sauber, but no matter where he goes, expect Peter Sauber to exact a price.
