Scholarship
I would like to say i am putting this on for feedback not advertising. When i put the scholarship information on earlier in the year i got lots of feedback negative and positive from you and motorsport proffesionals. So i am coming back to you for more feedback and advice. The adverts are going in the next edition of Autosport.

Do you want feedback on the scheme or the website?
First up, ditch the rediculous moonfruit.com account with ads and cheesy music and get a someone to do it properly. Any half decent webmaster should be able to knock up an equivilent site in half a day and wouldn't charge that much. This way looks cheap and if you can't get the basic promotion right now that doesn't exactly inspire confidence in the scheme. Going elsewhere will mean losing the Macromedia Flash, which is no bad thing. It's totally pointless in a site of this size. You need to proof-read some of the text. Agreed, lose the flash - particularly that bizarre menu on the left that doesn't quite fit the sidebar. It's just slow, and for the actual site contents, more annoying than useful.
The music is a big no-no, as is the random font choice and size, which varies from page to page.. Get a spell checker on the text - it's littered with errors. You have two menu entries for "Prizes" and "Prize". Make sure you have permission to use images from other sites, particularly if you're going to advertise this in the motorsport press. Have TopCats Racing allowed you to use their Caterham picture, for example? If not, you're asking for trouble. |

Agree with what has been said so far
You may also wish to put something about yourself on the website that helps give things more credibility e.g. if you have a background in business/motorsport, any other achievements in your professional career, any relevant experience you have etc. At the moment I have no idea of anything about you or your background you may be legit, but as I say you need to give yourself as much credibility as possible if you are hoping people will give you a grand Last edited by Andy H; 11 Aug 2004 at 16:33. |

I've seen a lot worse, but poor spelling (including that of a driver's name) is not going give you plus points. Ditch the flash - personally, I hate it, and I tend to avoid sites that think they need to use it to give the site.....well.....flash, I suppose. On most sites it is completely unnecessary and to people like me, downright annoying.....
