This time last year, who would've guessed that the second Forsythe car this year would only have 1 podium finish?

I dont think he is going to win this year but he is getting better.
new team last week and a new car this week and he has qualified better than he has to date , it shows his speed is improving and he is only 18 so he has alot to learn but to his credit it may just be starting to come now. |

Come on now, Lavin's podium wasn't exactly because he beat the snot out of his competitors. Atleast from my perspective Lavin has shown that he's got potential to do more. That said, his currently level of skill doesn't warrent him getting to drive the second best setup car. When he's been in a reasonably competitive position, contrast his driving to those around him. Right now he clearly isn't as good. I was certainly not all that hopefull of Lavin, but I left room for a lot more doubt than most. I don't think it's unfair to expect people to make realistic predictions, especially shorter term ones based on watching someone's race technique.
Nelson might infact be another Jourdain or Dominguez, but it's going to take a while. This year he's not going to finish on the podium because he beat competitors on the track. There's always some possibility of a good finish, Dominguez in 2002 proved it, but the odds are slim. Hense my offer of wager stands. Last edited by Snrub; 28 Aug 2004 at 21:05. |

Both Phillippe and Lavin are in seats because they brought money. Period.
