When I got my PS2 I had to reformat some of my old (non-Sony) memory cards and lost all the data from my GT and GT2 games...
I really couldn't be bothered doing it all again. Some of those one make championships really were a pain. The moral of the story? Never use anything other than officially licensed products.. |

AAhhh, Newman Haas, where you could actually go to the car set-up screen and choose a ' Wibbly Aerial'! Brilliant!

Newman-Haas was pretty good. I believe it was based on the Psygnosis F1'97 game engine.
I remember how the in-car view would annoyingly switch to a dynamic camera angle any time that you grazed a wall or another car. So, just when car control was paramount, you would be watching the action from somewhere trackside! Surprising there hasn't been another Champ Car game since (I'm discounting Driven on the grounds of good taste!), since the series would lend itself well to exciting and varied action. |

True. No ChampCar game as such been released in the last few years, for consoles anyway, but at least a very good mod for F1C on the PC .
One thing that's crossed my mind on many an occasion though - I don't think there's a game or mod for either F3000 or F3? Would be a right old shame if there wasn't  Last edited by crozier74; 6 Sep 2004 at 15:52. |
