BAM! slammed by hurricane

I have just had this press release hit my inbox:-

Quote:
BAM! (British American Motorsport) took a major hit from Hurricane Frances, which slammed ashore just a few miles from the team's race shop in Stuart, Fla. The roof was torn off the building and team offices were destroyed. The workshop area was flooded, but the No. 43 YES Network Porsche 911 GT3 RSR, transporter and race equipment are intact.

"BAM! got wham-bammed by the hurricane," team owner Tim Munday reported. "It's pretty ugly. The offices are trashed, but everywhere else is okay. The front third of the building, which is the offices, took the full force of it. The back third is where the car is. Everything else is wet, but the front is destroyed."

The team will set up temporary offices in the BAM! transporter, which houses team operations on race weekends. They will be ready for the next American Le Mans Series race, the Petit Le Mans at Road Atlanta, on Sept. 25.

"We'll still make Atlanta," Munday said. "We'll just have to function out of the truck, which now becomes the office. But we're used to living out of the truck. We'll be okay."
That really bad break for the team, sounds like they have had a tough couple of days. Lets hope they make it to PLM and get a good result to.

Good luck to the Team to recover the "health" - or at least a roof - as fast as possible... and all our sympathy ; hang on boys !
