Gonna move to Trackside, but I find:

Old Hairpin (Outfield) & Coppice(Outfield) very good places to watch.

Though the Esses & Melbourne will be where a good deal of the action is, the '% of track seen ratio' favours the first two choices of mine.

I'd probably try out a grandstand seat the next time I go though.

Great circuit, was there in 2002, good views all around the track. Wish I was going

Still prefer Brands for my laziness factor. With that in mind, with the masters race and too much not to be missed by being stuck at the wrong corner - I think I'll opt for the TV for the Donington weekend.

Get on to the infield and you can easily watch all the way through the Craner Curves, Old Hairpin and Schwantz Curve plus you can walk a 20-30 yards back up the hill and watch the action through the chicane before the startline as an alternative or even get into the paddock via the tunnel. Enjoy.

Redgate is always good for first-lap, first-corner incidents - likely to be several at the BTCC in a couple of weekends! Also, like other posts have mentioned, infield viewing down the Craner Curves into Old Hairpin can also be pretty exciting. Have fun!

Alan Green should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
- Outside of Redgate for the first lap dash and bash.
- Infield overlooking the Craners / Old Hairpin for the fast single seaters, just for the bomb-burst when they realise they're going too fast on cold tyres.
- Infield behind the marshals post at the Esses for the last-lap late-braking manouvres.

and if you fancy the walk, the outside of McLeans, which has been collecting a few bits and pieces this season.

Al.

My favourite spot used to be At the top of Hollywood (start of Craner Curves immediately behind Marshals' Post 6 - it's painted on the side if you look for it). You can see Redgate, all down the Craners and the Old Hairpin, up thorugh Starkeys and then the exit of McLaens and the run up to Coppice. Alternatively if you like a bit of crash, bang wallop, get up on the banking overlooking the chicane/Goddards at the entrance to the pitlane.

Have fun.
