Well the title should be Bourdais's, I would much like to see a showdown at Mexico city.

After Bourdais beat Junky to the win at Vegas it looks like it's Seb's to win.

Had an awesome time at LVMS - unfortunately our planned meeting didn't happen. I was where I was supposed to be, perhaps I didn't hang out for long enough, but I was with a group of people...

Some comments about the event...

The start was too late. I was fine, but the people I was with were quite tired even before it started. We arrived at the speedway around 3PM and it was HOT, the sun can really take alot out of you.

That caution period was obscene.

I could not hear the announcers from my seat in the Earnhardt Terrace.

The Speedway itself is magnificent. And the night racing was tres cool. Most importantly, the beer stands were plentiful!

(Because of the late start, coupled with my comment about beer stands, the homevideo that I left with is laughable. Don't expect much...)

And to all those concerned, please accept my apologies if you showed up at Gate-E abit late and I was gone. I was very much looking forward to meeting you all, was quite disappointed when nobody showed. Fortunately, after the race I was leaving through the concourse and I heard a voice behind me yelling "Macdaddy!" Wonderful to meet you, suzmac! Sorry about the state I was in, although I was trying my best to act semi-sober for you, I certainly was not. Even to the point that I had to check the next day's newspaper to find out who finished second! For some reason, I thought it was Dominguez!

But, in short, it was a wonderful experience. I fully intend to make LVMS an annual event. Perhaps the funnest part was being thrown out of the garage... The Herdez crew invited my cousins and I into the facility, it was great until somebody came and escorted us out in no uncertain terms!

Did anybody even notice that I've not posted in a week?
Likely not - I've seldom got anything useful to say anyway!

So what did you see in there? Why did they invite you in? Why did you get kicked out?

Snrub...

That wasn't the first time that a team-member has invited me into the garage while I was outside taking pictures. I think they do it on a random-thing. Or perhaps they could tell that I was a rabid fan, I dunno. We got kicked out because the Herdez car rolled out five minutes later, so we walked through the complex to the next car, where the Gigante crew gave us a personal escort.

One more observation from the race...

None of the ChampCar teams sent their souveneir trailers. Amid the myriad of NASCAR trailers, the only CC-related souveneir stand was that of "ChampCar" specifically.

None of the teams have souveneir trailers. All of their stuff is sold off the Official ChampCar trailer. At least they haven't had them at any of the races that I have been to this year.

Interesting. This was my first event since 2001, but at that time most every team had its own "store".

Actually, the Official trailer is the only one I remember seeing last year too. They really haven't had much team stuff this year. Some Rocketsport, Tracy, Newman/Haas merchandise. Mostly Champcar stuff though. At Denver & Montreal they did have a few RuSPORT hats though. Which they ended up selling out of.

Lots of F1 Stuff to be found though.

At Denver there was even a NASCAR trailer there, & they were selling IRL miniture diecast cars. I couldn't believe it. But there were a lot of other vendors there too.
