Our pleasure Shireen,
But which is Gizmo? We are not familiar with that nickname! I think when Woolley has reorganised the threads there may be a few more fun pix to come! Perhaps in time we will get our own area on the forum. Love Abigail xxx |

New threads started, so I'll close this one now. Just a few things to say.
We've established there's quite a following for the hill climb news. In fact the average Midland event is pretty much a 10ths get together. The chances of a dedicated forum are, at the moment, nil, so don't ask. We need to build a wider perspective on our favourite branch of the sport, and we (me included) need to be a little more disciplined in our posting. In other words, try to keep to the thread. If you want to post something off topic ask yourself the following: 1) Is there another thread to which this is appropriate? If not, start a new one - there's no shame. In fact, it's to be encouraged. If it takes off, it was a good decision, if not it will disappear of its own accord. 2) Is this the right forum? In other words if you want to arrange a meet-up at (or away from) an event, use the Trackside forum. By all means post a link initially to let people know it's there. Similarly, if it's marshalling related, then use the marshals' forum. 3) If I post a flippant reply will it be received the way it was intended, and will it take us away from the topic? Humour doesn't always work in writing, and if you get it wrong, apologize and then forget it. I've made that error in the past and a quick "Sorry, I didn't mean it like that" works wonders. If you do go off topic, have the good manners to return to it. Above all, read the FAQ if you haven't already. We want this to be fun and informative. The world reads these forums (foraa?) and we want them to know what a great branch of the sport this is so they come and see it for real. I'll willingly reply to any pms if anyone wishes to discuss anything. Happy posting, Chris. |
