Zanardi Interviews
Allow me to begin with a question...
Is Zanardi's new book available in Canada? Neither my wife nor my sister have been able to find it, and salespeople haven't heard of it. A search on the website for the "Chapters" chain of bookstores reveals no such book... And so my sister asks me for a link to get more info about the book. And I start Googling around. What I've found are Zanardi's two most-recent interviews in video form! - WindTunnel with Dave Despain - LateShow with David Letterman And so, for any of you who missed either of these (fantastic) interviews, here you go! http://www.bentleypublishers.com/product.htm?code=GDAZ The WT interview was rather lengthy. Enjoy! And thanks to anybody who can help me get that book for Christmas! |

Thanks, K-b.
Amazon in the US stocks it as well. But Christmas is pretty-much here already! And time runneth short! I find it hard to believe that the "North American release" wouldn't include Canada! |

Macdaddy, you can find it here. Great shop owned by Scott Maxwell, a local sportscar racer who has won at lemans and daytona. Also raced against PT in Formula Ford I believe.
http://www.minigrid.com I'm waiting to see if the book finds it's way to my stocking, if not I'm heading to the shop at the first possible moment. P.S. Luke the North American version has some extra stuff I believe, but is essentially the same book. Last edited by enemy-ace; 23 Dec 2004 at 11:51. |

Macdaddy, I've pretty much given up on Chapters anyway because the staff is so clueless. My husband discovered that none of the staff at our local store had ever heard of Douglas Coupland (the writer who coined the phrase Generation X), or his new book -- and he lives here in Vancouver! Sheesh. I don't even try for racing stuff there.
Plus if you buy from Minigrid you're supporting independent business in Canada. Merry Christmas (being distinctly non-PC) keke |

I think it was nice in the interview I read that Alex sent out a goodwill message to all his friends in Champcar and stated how happy he was to hear the series survived into this year!
After all he's been through I wouldn't blame him to never want to see the series that almost killed him again, so such a goodwill message was a touching thought, and proves what a special person he really is! Thanks Alex, maybe come over and visit your old friends again eh? |

Thanks to everybody for their help!
We'll have to wait until after Christmas now, but I'm cool with that. |

Thank you so much for those video links, macdaddy! I'd never have seen those interviews otherwise. I'm a pretty cynical, sarcastic person at the best of time, but I'm simply in awe of Alex. That guy is just amazing.
