Minardi Cars
I am after help ..... I've just spent the day at Silverstone. How on earth do you tell the two Minardi Cars apart? - they look far too alike (I believe Alonso's has different coloured stars on his wing)
The cars look totally different from on the TV - but it was still good fun! he he. The only other problem was the two Saubers( again I understand they have different coloured wing mirrors). |

Are the large numbery sort of things on the sidepods and nosecone not a clue .
One will be an even number the other an odd number. Match with numbers shown in programe. Result. It is also easier with Minardi, one will be fairly slow the other paid for driver a good bit slower. Please note no manes, fearing M fans warth on his return Anon |

The best item to differenciate the two cars are the helmets of the drivers.
Fernando uses a blue helmet with Spaniard flag stripes, and the blue parts got stars around the top of the helmet. Tarso uses a helmet with yellow background, two lobule ovals (in the top) in dark blue with stars like Chico Serra or Siegfred Stohr, and fluorescent red and green stripes on the bottom of the helmet, climbing slightly to the back-center. On the back you can view a Brazilian flag on the helmet of Tarso Marques. |

Marques has a massive bit of fluorescent yellow on his helmet. He also has two fluorescent red squares on his front wing.
Heidfeld has red wing mirrors, and Kimi has yellow - except on Sunday practice when Heidfeld was in the spare car which has blue mirrors! (Just to confuse you... ) |

the one good thing to come out of tarso not qualifying was that we knew which minardi was which.
who else got decidedly baffled when jenson came out in fisi's car with fisico written on it? |

Thanks for all your help.
The helments were little help as I was a distance away ... so got used to looking for the splode of yellow on the front of Marques helment and the red stars on the front wing (which Alonso didn't have!) The Saubers .... heldfeld had red wing mirrors and Kimi had yello. Problem solved ...... until (similar to bella) they come out in the spare cars!!!!!! Also only a few of the F1 cars actually had numbers on them ... well numbers that you could see anyway! |
