Tell me something I didn't already know.
MS is arrogant. However that is part of what makes him such a success. |

Schumacher comes across as arrogant at times, but people who've met and worked with him tell me he is not.

He seems to donate a lot of his free time to charitable causes, he may be arrogant at times but at least he shows up to the public functions that actually matter.
If you were him wouldn't you find these "...of the year" awards a bit tedious after the first trophy room was full? Hell, he probably gives them away like Christmas cards. |

It's a stupid time of year to have an awards ceremony, surely for people who work as hard as sportspeople, now's the one time of year they get a chance to relax with their family? If he's on holiday with his family, I say fair play to the fellow.
And he's not arrogant. |

Ok, he's arrogant... But excuse my poor English, it's not my native language. What do you call someone who's attenting each and single "best <whatever> award" ceremony with a "gimme gimme gimme" attitude, posing for photographers, showing them his best smile then slamming at someone else for whatever reasons (like not showing up)? Is "modest" the accurate translation?

Feeling disrespected means that those people felt themselves so important that MS could not skip the happening.
I think that MS has, expectably, many meetings like that, but attending each one would let him with no spare time; therefore he's got the right to skip some of them. |

Let me get this straight.
Michael Schumacher is accused of arrogance by... Lothar Mathaus. The words pot, kettle and black immediately spring to mind. |

Is it still arrogance when you actually are better than everyone else, though?
