Champion of Champions

We Canadians sure love our ChampCars!
Quote:
Sebastien Bourdais is the overwhelming choice in TSN.ca's Champion of Champion's poll.

The native of Le Mans, France, received 51 percent of the votes cast to defeat Formula One champion Michael Schumacher, who picked up 32 percent of all votes cast.

Bourdais becomes the second Champ Car driver to earn the most votes in the year end poll. Canadian Paul Tracy was last year's runaway winner.

Rally car champion Sebastien Loeb finished third in the balloting with 8 percent of the vote followed by NASCAR Nextel Cup champion Kurt Busch and IRL champion Tony Kanaan, who both finished tied with 3 percent of all votes cast. World of Outlaws legend Steve Kinser and NHRA champion Tony Schumacher rounded out the balloting with 2 percent and 1 percent of the vote respectfully.
The highest NASCAR driver finishing tied for fourth!

Congrats, Sebastien. Another accolade to add to your growing collection.

I was just about to post this article and here you go once again stealing my thunder, macdaddy. Congrats to Seb on a great season and i'm looking forward to the '05 season to see if he can defend the championship against what should be a much tougher field.

Outstanding! Congratulations to M. Bourdais and I'll be glad to see him in action again soon.

Also good to see who finished with the wooden spoon.

I'm not sure how anyone who watched TSN would have been able to determine that Bourdais even raced this year. Seriously though, even though it's not directly related, I think this may show TSN that if they showed CC at a reasonable time they'd get viewers. I can't figure out why more people would get up early in the morning on their day off to watch F1 (it's called VHS, PVR or Speed @9PM people!) than watch CC.
