When Will Teams For FART need to registar?

Isn't it time for the fanatasy Champ Car Grid supposed to start forming... I remember Macdaddy and Liz doing a good job at setting it up...

Funny... I was thinking about the same thing earlier tonight.

Liz isn't going to be running the league that we've become accustomed to, and therefore I have been planning on running one of my own. Different to hers, though. Meanwhile, at least one other member has expressed an interest in running one also.

It's still too early, anyway. Can't really pick your drivers when you don't know who's available. But don't worry - there will be at least one Fantasy League operating by Long Beach.

Not a fantasy league as such, but I'd be happy to offer a ChampCar version of my F1 results prediction competition if people were interested?

It would let me just use the same spreadsheet software!

Basically for each race you would predict the polesitter and the top eight finishers.

I'd participate in that.

But there better be a Fantasy League. I got robbed in the last round last year and I must win that elusive championship!

maybe we need to get a poll going for a week or so so we can all vote on what kind of championship (or league or guessing comp or tiddywinks game) we want to use for 05 ?

Just a suggestion

My idea was this...

Take the 18 drivers and divide them into six groups of three. (Or three groups of six). You must pick one driver from each group, and that's your team for the rest of the season. Scoring would be very similar to last year's game.

KB's idea is a good one, too. More hands-on, as you'd need to submit your picks for every race.

There's maybe room for both - the F1 forum runs the results prediction competition I referred to and also a "fans competition".

There would easily be room for more than one. People can choose to participate in one, both, or neither. I'll be in all of them...

I've voted for "both".

If the F1 forum can have two competitions, so can we!

Same here, and hopefully if we can have two competitions. They also have a difference.
Which makes it easier.

My youngest daughter has a T-shirt with the same acronym on the front. Underneath, it reads "Future Auto Racing Talent".

If Kicking-back is still willing, I see no reason why we cannot run two competitions this year. That doesn't mean that everybody has to play them both! And it should be quite alot of fun.

I just wish April 10 would finally get here! An added bummer is that fact that there's gonna be a six-week gap between LongBeach and Monterrey.

Ok.

I'll post a thread launching the results predictions competition ten days before the first race.

Good luck to all!

And I'll do the same, just as soon as we get 18 confirmed for the grid.

Thanks, Kb.
