Last year they proved to win races; strange that they're delaying too much their lineup... |

True, very strange. Maybe they are suffering from the fact they run a proffesional high profile team and are asking high budgets, when all the Red Bull and Renault backed drivers are already signed? Maybe there just aint enough drivers with money?
Next test (first with new car) is supposed to be at Le Mans 2-3rd of April. |

Truth is there are several drivers with good speed and budget. So they're just waiting for the second seat to be filled....The first wiill go to an italian driver ex F3000 and the second will go to either a british or an indian driver, although there are two more waiting...

The whole Renault World Series >> GP2 thing seems to have worked in clearing up the sub-F1 single seater mess.
At one stage it was feared there would be about 17 different series. |

That is odd...Kubica, Danielsson, Fukuda, Mondini sure are further down than expected. Shakedown probs?
29 driver on location, but only 13 teams? How does that add up? Pons seem to be the class of the field. Do you "experts" think the other non-Nissan teams will catch up, or are they sure champions again 2005? |

Avelon ran only Ivan Bellarosa - this should explain the odd number of drivers. There were 15 teams running.
Kubica ran only during the first day and the car was breaking down every five minutes. On the second day they sorted out the reliability problems and Porteiro was able to clinch third place. Pons looks extremely strong, but Epsilon shouldn't be too far behind. Also DRACO seems to be quite strong, but during this first test they managed to sort out the shakedown problems really quickly, so they were able to cover many, many laps. |

Im pretty sure that Christian Montanari will win the championship - fantastic showing in the v6 races he did last year, seems a very quick driver.

Ok good folks,
Valencia testing is coming up for WSR. It will be the first time the teams use 2 cars each, which should add up to some 30 cars! What are you predictions, besides red flagg city? Here´s mine, at the end of the two days: 1. Montanari 2. Gommendy 3. Valles 4. Danielsson 5. Power 6. Kubica 7. Miguez 8. Van Lagen 9. Mondini 10. Maldonado Last edited by GM Man; 9 Apr 2005 at 00:15. |
