Coz he's changing Formula.
I had a long chat with Craig @ the NEC, he's looking to go into F4, still with the 750MC. I don't blame him, he's got nothing to prove in Stock Hatch's & everything to lose. How many people would be 'gunning for him'
He used to race Karts & I think F4 wouls suit him

Does anyone know what car Craig has bought ? With Lee Atkinson 2003 and the 2004 champ moving on it will be wide open in F4 this season. Roll on Snett at the end of March

He hasn'tbought anything yet, that depends on selling the Saxo. Worse case scenario, he'll start the season in Stock Hatch's. I'll see him again in 10 days time (750MC Dinner/Dance) & get the latest.

Dermot Healy has got a nice Formula Renault for sale which is fairly good value at 5,500 and I would guess that you could buy a Comtec car or a Spreads but this is nearer 20,000

Ah, that's a relief! I thought for one awful moment he was giving up.

Hope he can get into F4 - that would be good to see!

But does anyone have his phone number?

Ian - thanks for the link, it appears to be regs, or am I not looking in the right place?

As per Autosport yesterday, he is not selling the car but uprating it to Hot Hatch spec.

I wish he'd make his mind up! At least he's staying with the club, so I'll see plenty of him either way.

I wondered about that, I know that he was looking at buying a F4 car a few months ago and hoped to race in that series this year. Maybe he has come across the ultimate Hot Hatch.
Personally I would be very interested to see how he would go in a decent F4 car. Guess we will find out on Sunday.

Thanks Ian, but Craig told me some weeks ago that he had sold his Saxo hence my surprise about Hot Hatch, maybe the deal fell apart.

So it'll be offered for sale as "fairly secondhand" then.
