Good thread rusty!
I'll be rooting for Jeff Simmons, who I really believe should be in the big race Sunday. He was running through the field last year in the Indy 500, and up to 8th place before a bad pit-stop dropped him back. A shame nobody picked him up. He's running with a rookie team in MIPS this year, so it won't be an easy race for him. I see Marty Roth is doing the "double"! It would be great if Marco and Al Unser could get into a shootout, wouldn't it? Bring back some memories! |

18 cars - looking better for MIPS - is that a record?
Lets hope they can maintain this level of entry through the season |

If they restarted I think Wade could've definetly gotten Jaime.Though good thing is that Wade has moved into the Championship lead. He's been the most consistent.3rd in Phoenix,2nd in St.Pete,2nd at Indy, and due for a win.

well I didnt think I was going to get any coverage of this at all (helps to check the guide doesnt it )
for some reason I woke up during the night , visited the mens room and turned on the TV when I got back into bed and what do you know there it was , what a stroke of luck good race , I havent seen alot of the infinity series before but I enjoyed this race alot. the only thing I didnt like was the end of it with the half a lap sprint , i thought that was just silly but I guess there wasnt much choice. well done to camara he looks good and I was also impressed with cunningham but dont think he quite had enough for camara if it stayed green. good stuff and hope I get to see more in the future. |

It looks like Cammara is having a good year, and I couldn't help but notice that Jay Drake, driving for TG's Vision Racing came in third.
I wonder what happened to Marco Andretti, who came in dead last of the cars that were running. Was the race covered on TV here in the States, because I didn't see it anywhere. But marcus saw it all the way in Australia! Figure that one out! |

what happened GP Racer was marco was not up to speed all day really , he was running usually around 8th-10th during the race not having the right package to do the job properly (I guess they just missed the set up)
but on a late race restart someone (not sure who as Im unfamiliar with alot of these guys) spun out of turn 4 on the restart and Marco spun to avoid them and a 3rd car also spun , no one made any contact but Marco got going again only to make it back to the pits and seemingly retire but he had done enough laps to be classified. as for USA coverage I get ESPN so Im sure it was on there during the day sometime , I know Robbie Buhl was in the booth but not sure of the other guys. I think they may have even shown final practice for the big boys and after the Infinity race they showed the pitstop competition , so it was rather a fun day at indy |
