Kimi to Ferrari? As number 2? Behind MS? I don't think any good driver would do that, Alonso, Kimi, JPM would never go there as #2.

I think the biggest question should be what engine Williams are going to use, or better yet, what engine will Williams be able to use.
I don't think a team like Williams wants to be second fiddle, so that would already leave out Honda and Toyota. Honda have already said that it's almost to late to start preparations to supply a second team in 2006. I think Toyota has a contract with Midlands, so once again Williams is missing the boat there. What would it mean if Williams goes for Cosworth? Are those the engines RBR are using at the moment? Isn't it true that Minardi are also using Cosworth engines? I know that Minardi have said that they are not going to use V8 engines next year. Is this because they can not afford to come up with a new chassis for a V8 engine or is this because Cosworth can't come up with a V8? If this is the case, will Williams have to drive with V10 engines as well? I don't think Jenson Button would like to drive for Williams then... |

FWIW I can't see Fisi in a Ferari but I can see him returning to Sauber and then it would be Heidfeld/Fisi. FERRARI-Ferrari M Schumacher (Mickey isn't going to give up next year). M Webber (Mark will be looking to go up against the best). WILLIAMS-Cosworth J Button (Williams already own him). R Barrichello (A good reliable bet for a team in transition-See RBR 2005). MCLAREN-Mercedes K Raikkonen (No words needed) J P Montoya (Ditto) RENAULT-Renault F Alonso (2005 WDC isn't going anywhere) F Massa (impressing with every race and would push Alonso). Another spin on this. 2007 Benetton Cosworth? BAR-Honda T Sato (Honda daren't lose him) D Coulthard (would put that "big team" experience into a resurgent BAR). SAUBER-BMW N Heidfeld (Becoming BMW's golden boy). G Fisichella (Peter likes him and he would be good value for money). RED BULL-Ferrari C Klien (Growing in confidence and reliable). A Davidson (Appeals to the Red Bull demographic and is a real racer). TOYOTA-Toyota R Schumacher (Liked for his feedback and will settle in but a slow starter). J Trulli (Giving his best. What more can a team ask). MIDLAND-????????? T Monteiro (Who else would be willing to race for them?). F Montagny (Might get some backing from French companies). MINARDI-Cosworth V10 TBA N Karthikyan (He needs another learning year and would bring much needed finance from India). |

a few changes not all for the good IMHO but this is F1
FERRARI-Ferrari M Schumacher (Mickey isn't going to give up next year, cream rises to the top ). F Massa (he will only be here for a short time ). WILLIAMS-Toyota(sharp fall down the grid install) M Webber ( will realise this is not the team to be in hot tip renault bound in 07) J Button (Williams already own him). MCLAREN-Mercedes K Raikkonen ( 2005 WDC No words needed) J P Montoya (on the outer ) RENAULT-Renault F Alonso (isn't going anywhere) F Montagny (Might get some backing from French companies). BAR-Honda T Sato (Honda daren't lose him) D Coulthard (back in a "big budget team" where he belongs). SAUBER-BMW (williams stuff up is saubers gain) N Heidfeld (Becoming BMW's golden boy). J Villeneuve (will earn his way to stay in 07). RED BULL-Mercedes(it will happen) C Klien (Growing in confidence and reliable). S. Speed (USA market to good to pass up ). TOYOTA-Toyota R Schumacher (will lead by example). J Trulli (Giving his best. What more can a team ask). MIDLAND-Toyota T Monteiro (Who else would be willing to race for them?). J Briscoe (Toyota's long serving junour stands up and he the drive ). MINARDI-Cosworth V10 C Albers ( has done more than enough to stay where else can he go ) N Karthikyan (He needs another learning year and would bring much needed finance from India). |

My take on the silly season
FERRARI-Ferrari M Schumacher (Mickey isn't going to give up next year, cream rises to the top ). F Massa (paving the road for post-MS era). WILLIAMS-Toyota(will make BMW look stupid) J Button (Williams already own him) M Webber (will realise Flav's Renault only option left, if Flav still around) MCLAREN-Mercedes K Raikkonen ( 2005 WDC No words needed) J P Montoya ( serious contender for 2006 WDC) RENAULT-Renault F Alonso (isn't going anywhere) F Montagny (next scapegoat after Trulli and Fisi) BAR-Honda Barrichello (do a DC for BAR) T Sato (Honda daren't lose him, but will share drives with Ant) A Davidson (will share drives with Sato like RBR this year) SAUBER-BMW (BMW might be in for a shock and a looooong wait for a win) N Heidfeld (Becoming BMW's golden boy) G Fisichella (would be an asset, belongs here) RED BULL-Ferrari C Klien (Growing in confidence and reliable). S. Speed (USA market too good to pass up ) TOYOTA-Toyota J Trulli (Giving his best. What more can a team ask) R Schumacher (too costly to break contract, so will be still in) MIDLAND-Toyota T Monteiro (Who else would be willing to race for them?). J Briscoe (Toyota's long serving junour stands up and he the drive ). MINARDI-Cosworth V10 C Albers ( has done more than enough to stay where else can he go ) N Karthikyan (He needs another learning year and would bring much needed finance from India). |

Same
Ferrari, McLaren, Renault If Williams lose BMW to Sauber, then Heidfeld may be taken with BMW, who will then replace either JV or Massa. Button will go to Williams to partner Webber, while DC could then move across from RBR to BAR to partner Sato. As for RBR, Klien/Liuzzi will stay with Scott Speed drafted in as No. 2 due to the as yet untapped US market. Really, Williams-BMW hold the keys to the drivers transfer market for this season, simply because change as McLaren, Ferrari and Renault is not particularly expected. |

Here we go...
Ferrari 1) Michael Schumacher (he's like God at Maranello) 2) Felipe Massa (his personal manager is Nicolas Todt, son of Jean and has experience at Ferrari) McLaren 1) Kimi (Ron Dennis loves him) 2) Lewis Hamilton (Ron Dennis adores him and is his manager. Juan Pablo looks slow next to Kimi...) BAR-Honda 1) Barrichello (Good friend of De Ferran and experienced driver) 2) JuanPablo Montoya (agressive spectacular good for marketing) Williams Honda 1) Jenson Button (loved by Honda) 2) Takuma Sato (cheap (Williams loves his money) and loved by Honda) Toyota 1) Trulli 2) Ralf... ?? Renault 1) Alonso (who in his right mind would let him go) 2) Fisichella (unlucky but does a good job) 3) Webber (his manager is Flavio...) Sauber-BMW 1) Heidfeld (he is loved by BMW) 2) Fisichella? (Sauber loves him and he has a good reputation) 3) Liuzzi (Was Sauber's choice before Credit Suisse pushed for JV) 0) No Villeneuve, I'm surprised he's still on the team... Red Bull 1) Coulthard (Ferrari engine and Mark Smith designing his car: good arguments to stay put, "Top teams are just hassles...") 2) Scott Speed (espescially if he wins the GP2 championship: good marketing tool for RedBull in the USA... We badly need it after today's race) Jordan 1) Would be nice to see Ryan Briscoe or Zonta (Toyota people) But it's going to be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ all the way Minardi 1) Pantano? Kubica? Albers? 2) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 3) $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ 4) $$$$$$$$$$$$ |
