HVM Racing announced today they have extended their 2005 agreement with Ronnie Bremer for the Dane to drive for the team in 2006.

Bremer, 26, of Copenhagen, Denmark joined the HVM team at the beginning of the 2005 Champ Car season and completed the first five races for the team, where he earned three top ten finishes, including a seventh place finish in his Champ Car debut at Long Beach.

Due to certain circumstances HVM is unable to continue running him in an HVM entry this season. Although he is currently under contract with HVM, he has been released for this race initially to continue his rookie endeavors in the Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series, Powered by Ford. "We have developed a very good relationship with Ronnie. We recognize his talent, he's done a great job for us on the track and he is a good representative of our team and partners off the track, so it was important for us to secure his services and make sure he is part of the future of HVM Racing," commented team owner and managing director, Keith Wiggins.

The fine print on the contract probably reads along the lines "as long as we can afford it" HVM probably like Bremer and his speed and want to ensure that they have first dibs come 2006.

Precisely enemy. All this says is that if HVM can afford to run him in 2006, he will run for them, and that's a long way short of a confirmed drive. I hope we haven't seen the last of Ronnie, but there's no guarantee by any means.

Now he's been loaned to Dale Coyne. The thick plot on.
