Oh! James was great. He was my hero alongside Ronnie P. who gave me his autograph the day before his Death, back in 1978. God! I was six and probably yet envious of your British terrific style and humor in commenting races. Italians guys in the box are so boring and really too much Ferrari-oriented.I actually want to get in possesion of some tapes showing eighties GPs which were so more interesting than today's events.Forever James in my heart!

That's a good point, JP - there'd be nothing individual about Martin Brundle if he was just like James Hunt. Paired with Murray, Hunt was obviously fantastic, and so is Brundle in a different way.

Ronnie Peterson and James Hunt were great mates.

And in 1978 when Peterson was tragically killed at Monza, Hunt, Riccardo Patrese and Peterson collided with each other to trigger the fatal crash and after Ronnie's unexpected from the crash Hunt blamed Patrse for the crash and had always had something against until he died in 1993, but did he ever show it in his BBC commentary?

I think he must have shown it sometime

But when Patrese won at Monaco in 1982 (his 1st win) I believe Hunt didn't care who had won as long as someone had crossed the finish line to win it!

HUNT: We've got this ridicoulous situation, we're waiting for a winner to come past and we don't seem to be getting one!"

That was one of murrays favourite races!! The two other drivers on the podium both retired as well.
