How the BTCC/WTCC guys got on at Sandown (Spoilers)

Just an update for you guys but BTCC Star Yvan Muller has taken victory today in the Sandown 500 V8 Supercar race paired with Craig Lowndes.
the Betta Electrical Ford drivers performed perfectly today with lead driver Lowndes taking the lead with just 4 laps to go in wet/dry conditions.

Muller drove the middle stint and did a very good job considering his limited experience in the cars.

congrats to both Craig and Yvan on a perfect job today now they just need to do it again in a months time at nathurst

in all honesty Muller is not rated at all by the ozzie public , he is noted as being an over aggressive driver who tends to damage more cars than he finishes.

this is not the way in V8's but he showed today that he is capable of winning (allthough Lowendes did most of the work)

there was a huge outcry over the driver pairing before the race , we all honestly thought this was not a good combo if triple 8 wanted lowendes to win a race but I can admit when I am wrong and the laps that muller did today were very good and he did a very professional job

I do hope that many of the doubters are now eating humble pie - I am personally not a fan of Yvan Muller but he has proved in the past his ability to adapt to different conditions and cars. just because someone drives in the current banger racing series in the UK (BTCC) doesnt mean that they are a car wrecker it just means he plays the game as it is around you.

Isn't there in V8 Supercars also a lott of "contact" between the cars?

it'd help if they'd actually seen some of his races then as this comment is completely untrue, in all of years in the btcc there are few races where he retired because of damage

Most of the BTCC grid would disagree with that of course. Most think he's a firm but fair racer.

Motors TV. Coverage starts at 10PM, with the race running from 1am to about 7.30. All times BST.

I love Lowndes' in car response to everything his team says: a really cheerful "ooo-kay!".

Team: Sorry Craig, your house has just burned down, and your missus has run away with Yvan Muller
Lowndes: Ooo-kay!

Other than that, I've got nothing constructive to add
