I think a lot of HD space is being reserved for rFactor.
Here's a good link for F1C though.

by the way f1c is realy detailed!
for example monza 99 ha the old chicane
monza 00, 01, 02 have the new one and 02 has the new fancy podium in it!

in career mode 99 season has stephane sarrazan for a few races. same with mika salo. jean aleisi ina jordan, zonta in a jordan, frentzen ina prost, burti in a prost and others are also included!

physics are terrible though. thats in the PS2 version by the way. worth a look.
they forgot to update the nurburgring!

The console versions of F1 Challenge are completely different to the PC release. There's no career mode for a start, pick your car and season and away you go. The PC version is aimed squarely at the more hardened sim fan.

Easily the greatest mod for F1C is Prototype C, even if you're not a lover of sportscar prototypes the attention to detail and overall quality really is something else.

I'm about to buy F1C just for this mod.

Just one question, how realistic are the engine sounds, that goes for Prototype C and the DTM, WTCC mods?

The Group C Mod is fantastic and Service Pack 4 is going to be released very shortly.

The Proto C engines sounds are pretty good, each car has its own distinct engine note and roar but the best engines I've heard in a mod are in Sportscar Challenge. Can't beat the sound of that Corvette thundering around Le Mans.

I never played much of the DTM mod but the ETCC sounds seemed spot on.

I know, I meant the PC version doesn't have a career mode. I just worded it badly, my fault.

IMHO, the only Mod that I really liked was the Sport 3,5L Mod (or Group C)...
The other ones are just too much dull for me (for what they represent, not that they are bad per se)...

I'm thinking of following JAG's instruction and buying F1C purely for the mods - I had F1-2002, but didn't find a Group C mod - I'm guessing you can get a 2nd hand copy of F1C for a very small price now...
