It was fun. I'd do it again... after all, I only lost 8 fantasy bucks!
Oriol faith regained $76... |

Actually, Jordi, you're only out $5.30.
I just noticed that I miscalculated yourself and okeefe, I owed you each $2.60. Strangely, you both still ended up with the same payout, albeit on different bets. The opening post in this thread has been editted to reflect this. I put half of my money on Lavin. I just had a good feeling about him. I even did something I've never done before - used my VISA card to place a $10 "Place" bet on him. Turns out he wrecked in practice and had to start a backup car, the team didn't have all of the replacement parts. He was even running an improper undertray for a speedway, yet still finished fifth. Had he finished 2nd or 3rd, I'd have won $573.60! Had he won? $983.60!!! (In real-life, I'd have received a $143.40 payout) |

Yes, thank you macdaddy, it is a good concept to have a bit of fun with.
And going by my result from Vegas, it will insure that I never attempt to put real money down on a motor race |
