Why a bad idea? If NASCAR can run on 1/2mile ovals, and their feeder series' quite often run on circuits as short as 3/8 mile!
Just needs some work at Mallory, like changing the pit armco to pit WALL, and moving the pit entry to half way around Gerards, or even, after Gerards (in a clockwise direction). Rob. |

Interesting thread. I raced for Paul Sheard's team in the MX-5's earlier this year. Both Paul and Christian Dick raced in Eurocar and then Paul was involved in ASCAR for a little while.
There's another car down in Cranbrook in Kent. It used to be raced at Lydden. |

Well this thread now is getting interesting.
There seems to be real interest in having V6 eurocars back out and as snapper baz said semsec might be a good starting place. So anyone who knows someone whos got V6 put there there name on this thread or email me at Bardenracing@yahoo.com. Lets see how many of these cars are about and if the owners want to race them! |

Mick Doble, who now runs in Seats - wasn't he a Eurocars regular from the late 90's? I seem to remember seeing him an a V6 or a V8, clipping the grass bank at the Hall Bends at Cadwell - what a sight that was!

I think you could run them in class A of the Dunlop TRC series just as they are now - provided they have an in date fire extinguisher and an FIA approved harness. You won't win class A , but you should pick up points, have lots of people to race against, and race for about half the price of any other series.
Touring car drivers and banger racers need not apply !( sorry - I think thy my be the same, except banger racers are honest about what they do ! |

What do you think tic chances are that, say someone was to start the V6's up again, how many cars and drivers would either come back or new drivers join?

as you say alan, they could run in the current class A, we would try to accomodate any cars which turned up regulary in sensable numbers as long as the dont come from the BTCC school of driving |
