Driver's investors
Hy, all... who knows who's backing who these days? I was wondering how can drivers'investor make money, since when they start to invest and which percentages they usually asks... Does anyone have a clue about this topic?

Red Bull is a great driver investor: they backed Scott Speed and Neel Jani in GP2 Series this year, and included Team Arden due to its relationship with RBR F1 team (Christian Horner is the owner of Arden). Red Bull also back several drivers in other junior series.
Don't know if Sutton Images does more than a great photographic exposure with the drivers that have contract with them, but they impulse drivers to F1 too. I remember that they had showed Button and Raikkonen in their media sites before they entered in Formula 1. Direxiv appeared this year and backed three drivers in GP2 Series: Olivier Pla, Clivio Piccione and Hiroki Yoshimoto. Don't know about numbers, but I think the case of Red Bull is the most interesting of all them, because in ten years time they increased highly their exposure in all kinds of motorsport around the world along with their earnings. |
