RayF should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Just Purchased a Ford

Hi Guys
I have just purchased a Kent-engined RF96 here in Australia.
I haven't owned a Formula Ford before, but I have done as much research as I can without actually being on a team. Can anyone give some advice on what to look out for with RF96's?

Thanks for your constructive comments guys. They were really helpful. Only reinforces our view of your fellow countrymen.
Of course I did as much research as I could. The negative comments were very broad in nature, like "the geometry is all wrong". But none of the so called experts could say specifically what was wrong. The main thing I could point to was the fact that the 96 won the Australian championship, and several were very competitive in their day.
I have seen that the rear bodywork has been altered quite soon after initial release, but I wouldn't imagine that that is such a big deal?
What about the intensive modifications that are being done on 90-94 Van Diemens here in Australia to turn them into Stealths? No one seems to bag the 90-94VD's?
And besides, as a reasonably competitive (mid-field without too much work) club car, the 96 sh/c/would be acceptable.
So, can any of you Ford experts assist with something constructive?

Does the '96 have the pull rod suspension?
