Just Purchased a Ford
Hi Guys
I have just purchased a Kent-engined RF96 here in Australia. I haven't owned a Formula Ford before, but I have done as much research as I can without actually being on a team. Can anyone give some advice on what to look out for with RF96's? Ray Sydney |

Thanks for your constructive comments guys. They were really helpful. Only reinforces our view of your fellow countrymen.
Of course I did as much research as I could. The negative comments were very broad in nature, like "the geometry is all wrong". But none of the so called experts could say specifically what was wrong. The main thing I could point to was the fact that the 96 won the Australian championship, and several were very competitive in their day. I have seen that the rear bodywork has been altered quite soon after initial release, but I wouldn't imagine that that is such a big deal? What about the intensive modifications that are being done on 90-94 Van Diemens here in Australia to turn them into Stealths? No one seems to bag the 90-94VD's? And besides, as a reasonably competitive (mid-field without too much work) club car, the 96 sh/c/would be acceptable. So, can any of you Ford experts assist with something constructive? |

Does the '96 have the pull rod suspension?
