Apparently tickets are now available at 25 quid, Lola... which is a bit of a cheek when we've already booked and paid full price
I will be there on Saturday so hopefully it'll go ahead. If not, i'm gonna give my ticket to the first person I meet who can make Sunday... cos I can't! |

Yeah he is yet to win on an Oval. Not through lack of pace just a lot of bad look.
Would rather watch CART comapred to F1 though. A bit cheaper but at least you see some proper raing hehehe |

I was at Rockingham today and most of the day was spent watching the track dry (or being dried). It hadn't rained all day, but apparently the problem is water seeping up through the track. Eventually at 3:15 we got 5 laps behind the safety car, followed by a gap and then a further 5 laps behind the safety car. As I left Rockingham it was just starting to pour with rain
I booked my tickets from Rockingham shortly after they first went on sale and yet earlier this week they sent me a leaflet advertising the £25 tickets, talk about annoying I may be there on Saturday, still haven't decided 100% yet. |

Everyone knew the weather was a potential problem, OK the seepage through the surface is a surprise to the fans and possibly for the organisers but there is no alternative on an oval, if it is wet there is no action.
I was there all day Friday and will be there on Saturday along with 15 guests of my company. If it is cancelled , which I have to say I am expecting it to be then I expect a full refund, but I will not moan or harp on about the weather as we all knew it could be rained off. Real race fans who like me attend over 30 race meetings a year know that things do not always go to plan. I do not want to see a bad accident at Rockingham just some good racing. If we get it on Saturday then great, if it runs Sunday then fine and if it never runs then so be it. On a brighter note the Champ Cars look great and I was very impressed with the Ascar paddock area, very friendly aand great looking and sounding cars. |

I must agree; however frustrating this is, there is no way that any of us would want these guys to risk their lives to entertain the disgruntled masses. There is always next year...if RMS doesn't sink into the swamp.

It was Awesome.
Anyone who missed it should kick themselves, then book for next year as it will be a sell out. Rockingham will be the motorsport centre of the 21st century in the UK, absolutely no doubt now. |

I think that De Ferran's move on Brack in turn four was probably the nearest thing to an accident anyone will ever see.....only in CART....or NASCAR obviously.
