Team Owner should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Greetings from Phoenix !

It is a little windy this afternoon but a nice day nontheless ! Tony Kaanan is the fastest right now and Marco Andretti and Paul Dana are getting lots of practice laps in. Drivers without rides walking around and talking are Vitor Meira, Roger Yusakawa, PJ Chesson and Jaques Lazier. Tomas S is here in the Vision pits and Gene Simmons of Kiss is sticking his tougue out at me as I type this. More tomorrow.

Thanks for the update, Team Owner!

One can only wonder what "hopefuls" will end up with rides.

I am sure, Team Owner, that Gene Simmons' tongue could tell quite a tale about the places it has been - if only it could talk! This being a "Family Forum" I think I will keep any speculation as to the various destinations it has visited to myself.

Enjoy the warm breezes!

Nice to hear Meira was at Phoenix checking things out - I sure hope he manages to put something together. Apparently he's looking at the Brazilian stock-car championship as an alternative.

The IndyCar website has an article about the first day of testing.

Also, and this is a bit off-topic, shouldn't the Indy Pro Series numbers start to creep closer to a more respectable number by now, with all the additional cars that have been announced for this season?

Just a shame I don't get to see it (nor the Formula Atlantics for that matter) on TV - would be really interesting to see some US feeder championships for a change.

One more update before I head for the airport.

Wheldon at 178.483. If anyone goes any faster I'll see if the Airport has wireless.

coyote9999 - If your referring to Wheldon, then yes, he's driving for Chip Ganassi

SpeedTV.com has posted a report from the test. Some tidbits of interest:

- Tomas Scheckter, who is expected to sign soon with Vision Racing, split time Wednesday with Ed Carpenter in the No. 20 Vision Dallara-Honda. His best lap was a solid seventh on the chart.

- Team and IRL officials indicated Team Cheever is expected to return in ’06.

- Michael Andretti will test privately Thursday at Phoenix in preparation for his return to the Indianapolis 500 in May. “I’m starting to get a little nervous that he (son Marco)’s going to be quicker than me,” Andretti said. “That’s not good.”

Yawn. Long night Michael looked good. He has been working out and has shed about 15 pounds. The best thing was seeing the smile whenever Marco was on the track or someone talked to him about his son. He is a very proud father. The Dallaras are quick again this year and Vision Racing adding David Cripps and TS has already brought benefits. I'm headed for Daytona this afternoon looking foward to some more sunshine and warm weather !

Since he said he was reporting from the Vision pits, it could be none other that TG himself for all we know.

Glad to see Wheldon still at the top of the timesheets. Hopefully this will put him in contention to retain his title.
