Is Marshall Better Than Sci Fleet?

Judging by the speed of the Glenfords car in Adelaide (read:none) would having experienced Supercar pilot, and friend of sponsor Doric, in the car have made the car any quicker?

The blue #20 PCR car was ordinary all weekend, practicing/qualifying at the bottom of the timesheets, slower than our mate Jose.

This was a much hyped team with serious Ford support.. where is the pace they supposedly should have in an ex-888 chassis with SBR engines? That package should have gotten the team to mid grid, not at the back with the firetruck.

Did you see the team transporter in the 'Thexton' position at the end of pitlane on the broadcast? Given we saw it on the box probably 10 times at least thru the coverage, a nice Glenfords sign on the side of it may have gotten some positive coverage for the sponsor instead of talking about non performance..

Is this team another of Ford Racing's mistakes?

Will Marcus Marshall be replaced in the car by the middle of the season if the results dont improve?

BlueMax should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Marshall was to slow at this race. Would he be in there with out $$$ assistance. I don't thing so. Maybe SBR should put one of there endurance drivers in there in return for letting them use their engines. The only problem with this is that PCR then has two driers in the endurance race with no race mileage.

Hey there's an idea... a way to get Seto back in the game, and get him some seat time in a pseudo SBR chassis

Give PCR/Marshall a SBR or 888 car and they still ain't good enough. And Seto is past it! Let's move on

I thought we had determined this is the Ellery 888 chassis from 2005... with the ex-Briggs BA ending up in the development series??

So Marshall is driving a chassis as good as Mark Howard runs in the development series?

Cool

Thats a really cool new team, with a car that I would bet my bottom dollar was built up from the guts one of the Briggs AUs...

The franchise will run 31st and TEGA will tighten the thumbscrews on the new owner to get better or get out..

I wouldnt mind betting the Decina car would be leaps and bounds better than this old heapa junk. Top notch call to terminate the deal with Jim Morton

Although Caruso in the main game would be too funny by half

Last year Phil Scifleet peddled an old AU around with aplomb, I would have much preferred to have seen him with the drive than the highly paid and highly overrated Marshall.....

I'm sure AVESCO would rather have an ex-Champ Car driver in the car than just another young up and comer. Think of the PR spin they can put on this.

Just like Max Wilson ??? Ex champ-car and F1 tester. For various reasons, Max hasnt exactly dominated the V8 Supercars now has he? although things are looking up a bit after some good results in adelaide. AVESCOs best PR spin here is - come and watch a few ex champ car drivers get regularly beaten in a series so competitive they bearely get into the top half of the field

Plenty of other ex indy/champcar guys around too

Just like Bright the Indy lights and indy driver, Just like Briscoe, just like Besnard

All valid points, but in the eyes of AVESCO and their marketing people, it just makes V8SC seem bigger and better.
