Chilton takes over Muller's job!

OK Fabrizio Giovanardi is effectively Muller's replacement at VX, but it seems Tom Chilton hasn't minded taking over Yvan's position of slating Plato!

Quote:
And 21-year-old rising star Chilton told btcc.net: “On the test day at Brands Hatch last week, Plato was giving it everything and when he got out of the car was pouring with sweat. He wasn’t as fast as James Thompson who’s come into the SEAT team and is putting Plato in his place.

“Plato could beat Thommo by knocking him out of the way like he does, but he won’t be allowed to because they’re team-mates now. The only way he’ll beat Thompson is with team orders.”

I think it's safe to say the gloves are probably off by now ready for Sunday.

Boys got a mouth on him. I don't think he's the only member of the anti-Plato club on the circuit though.

Might hae earned himself a few extra gravel traps this season already though!

I expect that Chilton hasn't forgiven Plato for tipping him into a spin at 140mph during last year's Silverstone round.

It's always entertaining to see a little bit of needle between the top drivers in any series, I just hope they can keep things relatively clean on-track during 2006.

I'm partial to a bit of rubbing, nudging & bumping in the BTCC, but I don't want to see a repeat of Knockhill 2005.

I'm not so sure.

I think Plato is capable of beating of beating Thompson in a straight fight. At least we won't have to wait much longer to find out.

ATF should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
I think Chilton should concentrate on beating him on the track, the results will speak for themselves!

jonboyG has a lot of promise if they can keep it on the circuit!
Seems to me Plato managed to drive around the youngster quite easily in the races...

More 'race' I think.

Anyway...

3. Tom Chilton - 30pts
4. Jason Plato - 23pts

Gonna give that weekend to Chilton.

It's early days but I think Mr Plato may not get everything his own way this season. Yes he is a big name in a good car with heaps of experience but drivers like Chilton would love to change the order of things a bit!

Can't wait for the next round!

As we seen at Brands though the Leon can last the distance and the Astra can't, so for Plato, and Thommo they really just have to sit and wait behind Chilton.

Well after his proformance at Brands i would not be supprised!
His driving stile through Graham Hill Bend when he had any thing near him was to slow down so much that the pack exiting the bend when all tripping over each other!
Theres defencesive and dangerous driving , my view the later fits.
It wasn't that the car was slow through there , When he had a good lead the VX Racing car was at race speed!
