1993 goodyear rear tyre width?

Hi all

I know this is an oldball question!!! but does anyone know if 34cm sounds about right for the width of a 1993 F1 rear Goodyear? I thought it seemed thin!? did they reduce width to slow corner speed?

Cheers

Yes that does sound too narrow, I've got one of Senna's front Eagles from that period and it's 26cm wide.
I guess you could always take a trip to the Donnington collection and take your tape measure with you!

After further looking :-) it's 13.5 in wide!! so 34cm!

You say 26cm for a front? well that is thin!

Anyone know the width of a 1993 goodyear? FRONT?

Cheers

This all sounds right to me.

Goodyear were in absolute outrage in 1992 when these dimensions were proposed.
