Geva racing should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid

How many GT1 racecars are there in europe?

I counted them and I came to the conclusion that there are between 25 and 35 cars that are race worthy.

Should there be a GT1 revival race?

I think so beacause the cars range from the Lotus Elise gt1's to the Audi R8C's

But which circuit would be Ideal?

I'd like your OPinion on all fronts

At Watkins Glen this last weekend, many very modern race cars competed in the Vintage SPorts Car race held there. These cvars are not technically vintage, but have been outlawed due to rules changes. Porsche 935s and other Group C GTP machinery were invited. I think that a GT! challenge event would be in order, but I would also hate to se any of them detroyed by some ham handed driver with more balls than skill. But, as they are race cars, and are designed to be raced, I would pay to see them driven in anger.

Yes, I'm all for a revival event. Perhaps not a championship as such, because the historic racing calendar is getting a little crowded....

... GT1 as a Historic category? Eeek!

But I saw some very spirited driving of Group C Porsche 956 and 962s, versus Ecosses, Tigas and XJ220s at Donington this weekend, and those wonderful machines still have what it takes to stir the soul.

I would pay money to see such an event.

There must be loads of GT1 cars sitting around catching dust, damned shame I think..

What about Brands Hatch GP circuit for the revival?? That'll sort the men out from the boys!!!!

I'm afraid it's never going to happen though - unless the value of those cars drops quite a lot..
