Tri-Scape
In 1976, an American man, called Jack Randolph, Inherited a smallish forest near California. He had an interest in mototsport and so decided to build himself a decent sized circuit in the centre of the forest.
By 1979 the circuit was complete and he named it after his Chinese father, Shungsui. The track was used only for karting but in 1983, it was used for a motorcycle championship. In that very same year, the track closed for the winter. But on September the 14th to the 16th there was a huge hurricane that came up the West Coast of America and Through California. The Shungsui Circuit had been ruined. Mr.Randolph could not afford to re-build the track, so he sold it. It was bought by another powerful American called Russell Sanderson. But unfortunately he was shot in a hotel in Mexico. So the track was sold once more to Yuri Gurenstav, a Russian who had no Idea what the damage was to the circuit. But eventually he had just about enough to repair it. Not to the exact same state it was in before though. But he Re-named it. He called it The Tri-State park. And every year from 1986, Drivers from California, Arizona and Nevada have raced on the track. But in 1993, It received a FIA grade 2 licence and became a well known track. this is the original track. and this is the new track. Last edited by Knowlesy; 10 May 2006 at 19:11.
