Would you like to see more Chassis' / Engines in IRL?
Well how about it? Would you like to see 4 or maybe 5 engine suppliers supplying engines to 4 or amybe 5 different chassis' in IRL?
Personally I was a bit disappointed when we went down to just one engine supplier this year... but the racing has still been brilliant, e.g. yesterdays amazing500. And teams who were plagued with unreliability from their Toyota/Chevy engines have now not got that problem. My only concern is that the IRL will never really be able to consider itself to be at the pinnacle of motorsports in an engineering sense, as the teams do not develop their own chassis'. However it is an amazing arena to showcase the individual talents of the drivers, both in racing and setting up the cars. Any thoughts? |

I would like to see 4 to 5 engine manufactures and 2 to 3 chasis manufacuters in a united open wheel series.

I would. I prefer more variety then a spec series, we have to much as it is.

I would just like a stronger Panoz program rather than the de-facto spec chassis that is being run by all the full time teams now.

I don't think there is any benefit to having multiple chasis manufacturers. Engine manufacturers are a mixed blessing.
