Nashville race thread

So Wheldon nips Hornish for the pole.

It looks as though the championship will be between Hornish, Castroneves and Wheldon at this rate as Dixon is still there I guess but not that impressive imo.

I only saw 'Panther'?

Good race, Ganassi strong as anything...except they keep screwing Wheldon over in the last pitstop

The driver you mention as not being impressive just won the race and is 5 points behind the series leader

16 points now seperate the top four.

Couldn't ask for more!

Hope the Ganassi boys roll over the Penske's now!

And your point is? Dixon hasn't been as threatning for the win as oftern as Wheldon, but it was always going to be like 2003 when he was consistent and still in it.

Panther picked up Revive (a nutritiona food & drink company0 as an "Associate Sponsor" for the rest of the season...

Not enough $$$ to be placed on the sidepod, but enough to get placed on the Engine cowling...

Good news for the team...they deserve it...

and Vitor turned in another stellar performance...thee were times whn I thought he was going to catch the leader and pass him for 1st....

Meira in the Panther 5th is still the most surprising driver/position in the championship - not insulting Meira, just mainly considering Panther's money troubles.

Well Wheldon's led a lot of laps and has generally been more aggresive on the ovals - but for all that Dixon has more points and has won more races. He's also had a share of mishaps while in good positions to match Wheldons own often mentioned slips (broken front wing at St Pete, clutch problem at Motegi while leading, dubious drive-through penalty at Indy).

I agree that Wheldon's looked to have the edge for Ganassi on the ovals this year, but as Dixon gets adjusted to the Honda/Dallara combo it's going to be quite a battle between them to see who comes out on top at the end of the season.
