Surfers Paradise Race Thread (includes RACE results)
With the race only about 2 months away,i thought i ask if anyone will be going to the event?.I am going with my brother,we booked months ago and the hoel we are staying overlook the track.

I hope Briscoe does well in Champ Car, he has shown he is fast on tracks that turn right...maybe he'll be on a top team next year & a top runner forever

Looks like a strong grid line-up for Surfers with Briscoe in and Pizzonia back. I think Wirth will be driving for Coyne so that's another proven racer on track as well.

Not to sound like a downer but i don't think Pizzonia has anything to show.....or at least he hasn't when he drove earlier this year.

marcus and chatters,i,m flying up on monday,the 16th and i will be having a look around gold coast as i havent been there in over 10 years,then i will be spending the wekend at the track.

I'm going to my first ChampCar race
I don't know if any of you read Racecar Engineering but they (and Pi Research) had a contest to win a trip to Surfers Paradise and "shadow" a Pi Research engineer. Believe it or not, I won! I don't exactly know what my schedule is, but I'll be in the Vibe hotel and possibly riding around in the pacecar, or "a" pacecar? Any side events I shouldn't miss?-Chris |
