Oval Spectator Safety
In the IRL, occasionally someone hits the debris Fencing, and the car splits in half, then goes on fire, then the track has to pay for the damage. Now, this worrys me, because I think that something has to be done because it is possible that those cars can go through that fencing. What is your solution to this? Would you make changes to the cars, or the track?

Well it's just as dangerous going to watch any type of motorsport. There's no point in changing the tracks either because it's not always the tracks fault.

When your driving at over 200 mph constantly without braking, you're always going to get big accidents. The current fencing does its job - Brack and Briscoe survived. The only concerns I'd have is if something like Renna's accident was to happen - for everyone's info, he lost control and went into the fencing at high speed, and completely (and I mean completely) destroyed both the car and the fencing, and also damaged the spectator area. Thank goodness it didn't happen in a race, or spectators would've been killed, and thank goodness those accidents are extremely rare
