A1GP Predictions Competition 2006/07

After the success of last years competition, it has been decided that the A1GP predictions competition will run again for the second season of the championship.

The format will be roughly the same as last year, but with a few changes now we have seen one season to know how things work.

Pole position - If you correctly guess which country will occupy pole position for the sprint race, you will gain one point

Sprint Race - You'll be asked to guess which countries will finish on the podium (top 3) after the sprint race.
For each car you correctly place in the top three, you will gain one point; with a bonus point for each team placed in the correct position (6pts available)

Feature Race - In exactly the same format as the sprint race we'll be asking for the top 6 of the main race of the day. 1pt for each car that finishes in the top 6, an extra point if you get the position right as well (12pts available)

Fastest lap - If you correctly predict which country will set the fastest lap in the feature race, you will gain one point.

That makes a potential of 20 points available for each round over the season - nice and mathematical!
Just as a few extra points:
  • Threads inviting entries will be started approximately one week before each race
  • Entries must be submitted before the start of the first A1GP session of each race weekend. Entries posted after that date will not be considered.
  • In the event of technical problems preventing access to the forum, entries can be e-mailed to asp[at]ten-tenths.com In this case, entries must be received before the start of the first session
  • The results used to calculate results will be those posted on the official series website.
  • The prize of this competition is pride. As a result, in the event of a tie-break situation the competitors will be joint-holders of the championship position
  • The organisers reserve the right to vary the terms of the competition if in the interests of the game

The thread for the first round at Zandvoort will be opened shortly - and good luck!!
