Hi Dex

Yep should be FUN.

I wonder how many cars will leave the track and be damaged.....

See you there.

Couple of mine from Trax of the Drifting

Hadn't watched decent level drifting before - so very impressive car control

Quite a generalisation...

While it's not quite the same thing as a conventional race meet it does stand apart from the majority of modified car shows by giving people a chance to test their cars mettle on the track.

The drifting guys showed some seriously impressive car control - it's a particular type of driving skill that's possibly got more in common with the autotester skill set (precise car placement etc) than more normaly circuit racing.

I also found it great to watch - I've seen F1 cars close up at Silverstone (on test days) but never felt the urge to watch the race (i got my fix of the sound!) while the drifting had plenty of action in an easy to watch package.

Just to give you an idea of my background my regular shooting is of Classic Touring cars, I've owned over a dozen modified cars, most of which i took on track days, and my long term project is (and has been for a while) a Droopsnoot Firenza, hopefully coming out to play in '07 in group one spec for track days
