For me, the 1996 video is the best, as its sound is incredibly good. I have a homemade surround sound system, so whenever I watch the video's, its outrageously good.

This is not meant to be a plug, but...
I was walking through my local WH Smiths the other day and noticed on a shelf full of Video Box-sets, a 'Specially packaged for WH Smiths' THE HISTORY OF THE BTCC... the box takes two tapes(unfortunatley not in the box) it had pictures from 2001 on the box. There was no price on it and as usual there was no-one around to tell me the price.
Sounds interesting?????

Peter - the video lasts for 120mins (60 mins each tape), and is a review of the BTCC from 1991 - 2000. There is no 2001 action though!

My video came today also.
But I was a little dissapointed.
I expected to be treated to some footage not previously seen on the TV coverage, sadly this is not the case. If you have not got a complete set of recorded TV highlights then its a must have video!

I found also that the edited, edited highlights can be confusing as they say things like the safety car is going off, when your not sure that it came on in the first place!!

After squeezing all the races onto a 3hr tape they should have redone ALL the commentary (I think some was different, but not a lot)

Some good in car footage, and cameras mounted on various cars in different places. I sure there is miles of in car VT we have not seen.
It should have been inclused in the video, but as it was not in original edited version for TV, we dont get to see it.
One good think about less races in 2002, it will mean more tape per race on next years video!! :-)

I bought the Video today and the good thing about it is it goes to the first round without any 20 minute build up like there normally do on the other review videos and it has the Snetterton Sprint race which the BBC didn't show because of a delayed tennis match.
