I think for Rick having to deal with the joy of winning the championship, and the guilt of clashing with a person that both red and blue side respect immensly, must be really wreaking havoc right now. Highs and lows.

I like Craig, he always has a smile on his face despite the fact that 5mins ago his blood was boiling, the way he deals with PR and his genuine skill on the track reminds me of the great Peter Brock, his mentor.

Rick is still young and has alot to learn, the points structure this year didnt do the championship justice. I hope that Rick can learn, theres alot more to consistancy on the track. A PR Lesson from Lowndesys book may help but i see Craig as one in a hundred.

Stoked that holden have the championship...but feeling sorry for Lowndesy, but thats motorsport, when does anything run smooth?

Well :"Dude" I dont know what race you were watching or what books you buy but old mate Schuey crashed first and then delibretly drove into Hill to win the 1st of his 7 Championships.

FYI, I dont miss the point at all and if you had bothered to read any of my previous comments about this topic you would note that I dont think the result should be changed nor am I a one eyed Ford man (Chrylser is good). Simply correcting some facts that you offered up as justification for your own beliefs.

Unfortunatley your offerings only highlighted what I said about Champion drivers win races. All of the drivers you mentioned not only won many races each but also World Championships.

Rick Kelly is a good fast young driver, does he deserve to win a championship without winning rounds and only 1 race win?? In my book no way...

P.S Although you have finished off by saying you are done with this thread you and I both know you will still read what replys you got so now you have read mine you may go.

The marks were rubbed off by hand. The car looks brand spanking new from the outside... but the steering arm still needs repair... something Campbell Little has ordered his main driver to do after he ignored repeated instructions to remain calm behind the wheel during the course of the weekend.

I believe Rick actually paid the price for his indiscretion.

Why does it seem like we are going around in circles?

I know that Lowndes fans want to put a negative spin on the incident by having people believe that Kelly caused the bent steering... and to a large degree they have succeeded, although the facts are that the steering damage was due to Lowndesy's decision to keep the boot on the throttle instead of lifting off, which caused him to crash into Todd. This is something Lowndes actually admitted to.

Why not start a conspiracy theory regarding the driver who smacked into Lowndes front wheel... was actually paid out by Holden...

Can't wait to have this thread locked... it's all getting rather stale.
