Penske Panic Volume 300 and Counting

The latest rumours of Judgment Day apparently have been spoken on RPM2Night and give us 48 hours until The Dreaded Announcement is Made.

Any bets? Will the announcement be made? Will Penske go to the Brand X Racing League? Will Penske take Gil and Helio and put them in his NASCARs? Is Penske going to join the Franciscan Friars?

Or will the date pass quietly and the Penske Panic Pushers give us another date on which The Announcement will Be Made?

This is sounding more and more like a Jehovah's Witness prediction.

Could this be the most momentous announcement in the entire history of North American motorsport? Is this the end as we know it? Or not? (I wonder if the Captain is having a little chuckle over all the attention The Announcement has gathered?)

It's going to be a couple of weeks before the announcement so that Rodger can have time to sort out who is going where, and when, and who will be sponsoring what.

Indications are as follows:

Helio to the IRL 2002. 2 car effort, 2nd driver to be announced. Marlboro sponsorship.

Gil to defend his title in CART. 1 car effort. Sponsor to be announced.

Mobil1 to stay in NASCAR.

No way to know for sure till Rodger lets us know!!!!!He won't do that till he's ready.

The day before Judgment Day I guess. And we will have given up and gone on to other things by the time he gets round to it.

I hope he doesn't trash Helio's career by throwing him into the roundy rounders. But if he does, I will support Gil in Champ Cars (of course) and Bruno.
