Free advertising for Sydney tourism, on probably even continent on the globe, and we go "nah, get lost!". Geez, we know how to get people here huh!!?! Instead, we have stupid ads that say "Well, where the bloody hell are ya?" Yay for the "people who know what they're doing"... Last edited by Lukus; 16 Feb 2007 at 22:26. |

Yeh Lukis I understand that they were only a few days away from the shoot - there was something in MN this week I believe. Well the alternative to the Iemma government isnt a pretty thought either - they havent a clue what they are doing full stop - oops politics sorry.
When it comes to supporting motor sport certainly in this state its very fragmented - the gov certainly has put money into the revamp of Eastern Creek and Bathurst + WSID so its not all bad but that TV shoot was a no brainer for tourism publicity - yes city would have been grid locked for a day but its not much different any other day!!! thank god I dont have to commute to the city these days. Its funny all this who hah from Tony Cochrane re the Homebush Bay site - from what you gather the A1 guys may be much closer to achieving it than V8SA - which could be a good thing however we still need a world class free standing circuit in the Sydney basin - The Creek isnt it Im afraid (from a design point of view) - lets hope your man who owns Oran Park does indeed deliver the alternative when he finally closes - said he will. In the meantime I wouldnt mind seeing a street race in Newcastle - waterfront etc could be huge and its more centralised for people all over NSW (well from the gong up to the Qld border) to get to.................what do you think?? |

According to the article 'filming resumes in London February 17th (in the morning for you) - and rumoured that Raikkonen will be driving a 2006 Ferrari through London'..............the add is set to be launched in 3 weeks time (without Sydney).
They apparently had 2 lanes of the Harbour Bridge ready to be blocked whilst a 1967 Ferrari 312 owned by French advertising mogul Jean Francois Decaux (complete with Amon look a like) made a couple of passes over the bridge - 1 hour before the shoot commenced the government pulled the plug!! |
