Hi Low should be qualifying in the top 10 on the grid
Well Well What Ever Next. Buggies in the Superfinal ?? no way do we need them in Rallycross go and do your own thing with motocross or is it 15 or more entry fees the BRDA Need so badly. Lets have 1 extra lap in the heats fo every body if we have so much spare time? Yes the way to go is follow euro regs, the new 2 litre rwd class looks very good and as expensive as you want to make it, just like the old days with mk 2 escorts lots of action sideways. As for supermods been expensive to buy and run 1 little yellow lotus ran all season on 1 set of tyres he only had to buy some new ones to beat that big blue volvo the best race of the year

I know you might not think it's my place to say this, as a mere competitor, but I think if I add my voice to the many others it'll at least ease my conscience for saying something!

There is very little point in criticising or making snide comments from the perspective of one championship to another. I accept that there are major differences, and this is inevitable between two organisations with entirely different structures and commercial motivations (and can, in fact, be seen as a benefit), but there must surely come a point when we realise how counter-productive the bickering and demeaning nature of many of these discussions can be. There is always a place for constructive criticism, but not for derisive comments.

I have made the decision which championship I will take part in for 2007, but it does not mean I have any problem with the other. I respect the principles on which it bases its decisions and I admire the way it is being run from a sporting and commercial point of view. It also does not mean that the championship I have chosen does not have faults too. My decision was based partly on factors entirely out of an organisers control, such as dates, circuits etc.

Those involved, to whatever extent, with the running of a championship, need to realise, for your own sake, that the undermining of another championship actually reflects more negatively on your own; if you have to resort to a denouncement of a 'rival', how do you think that reflects on you? It gives the impression that you are worried about the competition they present, and this in turn makes those on whom you rely for the success of your championship wonder why.

We have the potential for two good rallycross championships, each presenting different opportunities, to run simultaneously. Let's not squander that chance with quarrels.

Love and peace to you all!

Well said, Stockhatch782. those of us who love rallycross all have a right to say what we think, be it competitor, spectator or organiser.

Stockhatch782 as silver bullet has pointed out, people are entitled to their opinions; And such online forums are the place to express and gain views from all angles.

While we all may be biassed to one championship or another it does not mean that we hate opposing championships we just prefere the one we race in.

Should anyone try force their opinion on other members in a way that is detrimental to the thread or is too harsh We the Forum hosts will flag it to the moderators if they have not already seen it. Which is reiterated in the top threads in this forum.

Looks quite close at the moment!

Some of your posts are quite interesting reguarding how you think Rallycross should go !

So carry on its nice to see what you all think.

Looks that some of you are looking for some new things so i have some good news for you !
Just had a call about Rage Buggies racing at some BRC meetings this year 4 infact and being called Rallycross Lights i think ? as demo class to become a full rallycross class next year! WHAT ever next?

Is this the way to go ? Iam not sure over to you

Chris,

Ok buggies might not be the best thing ever to happen to rallycross, BUT, as you are now wear you Rallycross Open Series hat on this forum, have you not noticed that the championship that you are twinned with, the MDA, have been using buggies to subsidise their events for a while now, and the MDA wouldn't have worked without them. In the same way that the RSS / ROS wouldn't have worked without the MDA entry numbers at their events in recent times, AND the BRDA British Championship wouldn't have worked without the BTRDA Clubmans.

Hi every body:
Taken in every thing posted on here!

There is a big differance in a group who run there own thing coming along and racing totally separately at some meetings have not got a problem with that as i helps fund events!for all championships.
But perhaps you dont know but they may become a proper rallycross class with regs and all what goes with it !
This could change Rallycross as we know it for ever!

Iam not here to knock anybody or any other championship as someone else said its a forum so as a driver i just dont want the sport which has been around for 40 years last month to become something it never set out to become.

Chris ..

I have to say I didn't know this - was it discussed at the AGM forum? I can't see many people being in favour of it. Would it get past the MSA - I thought buggies and open cars were banned from organised rallycross years ago (early 70s?) on safety grounds... I assumed they ran under their own promoter at Blyton?

Chris,

You can post a link as long as it is relevant. Be careful of posting links to other forums though.
