probably pretty sparse at the beginning, but I guess they'lll pick up momentum and the grids will grow. After all it works very well in the US. Grand Am Cup (now Koni Challenge) is almost the same forumla)

Ok then, thanks for that, always wondered why the GT2 didn't race in GT2. Back to GT4, could we see a few lesser GT3 cars, such as the C6 Corvette or Porsche Carrera?

The Porsche GT3 is as good a car as you could want to compete with in GT3. Porsche already have a representitive in GT4 anyways with the Cayman |

We've all had this discussion before and it is a little off-topic, so I won't go into it again in too much detail - but in my view GT2 would need to be spiced up quite a lot (for starters drop the FIA GT noise regs in the class - never did understand why that was introduced) for me to appreciate it as much as GT1. There is a real spectacle about GT1 cars that simply cannot be denied or ignored. If GT2 were to become the main GT category, then a power boost would be needed for another reason - GT3's leading cars currently trade lap times pretty well with those in the class above. Wouldn't it be confusing to see the same base-model of Corvette, Porsche, Ferrari and possibly Viper in two different classes at the same time, though? [QUOTE=cmk]This is definitely a confusing statement. The Porsche won the championship for Sean Edwards last year, I wouldn't call it "lesser". QUOTE]
Sorry what I meant by lesser, was less powerful versions of GT3 cars such as the base Carrera and the 6.0 Corvette. GT3 - Porsche GT3, Corvette Z06. GT4 - Porsche Carrera or Cayman, Corvette C6. |
