Even more factory/road spec than GT3?
I think the idea is almost a case of buy one out of the showroom, throw out the trim, fit a cage, a set of slicks, and go racing! Not quite that simple, but along those lines. |

something like that.
i seem to remmeber seeing the idea way back in '99 in Belcar (or similar) and now Stephane Ratel has taken up the idea- he has 4 makes ready to go as well it seems, but i've found evidence for 5... ermmm Aston DB9 (i think), Bmw Z4 Coupe, Ford Mustang, Lotus Exige and Nissan 350z. I think the GT4 series supporting FIA GT starts at Silverstone, and i presume the BGT starts first- are there any GT4s in the entry list? |

Side note- someone very high up at Aston crashed that GT4 Aston in the Nurburgring 24 hours last year- i don't remember exactly who, but i remember they did their utmost to cover it up...

They're basically 'off the shelf' cars that you can buy ready to race. Most come with the trim already thrown away and the cage and slicks already fitted. Much closer to road-spec than GT3. |
